View From Hurricane Point
Here is a perfect example of the adage "A picture is worth a thousand words". There is no need to talk about how beautiful the Big Sur coast is --- this photograph says it all, and was taken from the popular turnout at Hurricane Point, which is nearly 1000 feet above the ocean.
I would guess that in an average day, more than a thousand photos are taken from this spot. The texture of the light in this particular photo makes it look more like a painted canvas. But then, that is often the case with photos taken in Big Sur country.
